We recommend underplanting bay trees with beautiful summer bedding plants – ivy-leaf geraniums would work perfectly – planting higher-growing French Beans alongside low-growing strawberries that will cascade over the edges of a pot, going for a scent-tastic mix of roses and lavender or the more traditional companions tomatoes and marigolds. You could also try creating a cottage garden pot (although make it a big one!) with dahlias, foxgloves and salvias.
