Useful tip

Should you receive your seed potatoes before March place them in egg cartons somewhere cool and light. This encourages the ‘eyes’ – the knobbly stem bases to grow stubby and thick which then produce strong, thick stems when you plant them in sacks or directly in your vegetable patch in March.
