Because Red Falstaff is frost resistant and self fertile, this proves to be one of the heaviest yielding varieties apple that there is. Red Falstaff Produces profuse amounts of blossom and is an excellent pollinator for other varieties.

Pick in the second week in October for a wonderful mellow flavour. Stores well, often until early March. Highly recommended if you only want one late season apple.

Apple Red Falstaff is one of the best garden apple varieties for growing in the UK. The flavour of Red Falstaff is extremely delicious, you will never have problems giving away any extra apples.

You will definitely have extra apples because Red Falstaff is one of the heaviest-cropping varieties of any apple you can get. They also keep very well and will last in the fridge up until Christmas.

The variety is extraordinarily easy to grow and has good disease resistance. It grows in a very neat and tidy fashion meaning that it will require minimal pruning.

Red Falstaff is wonderful crunchy and juicy apple with a light creamy coloured flash. It has a wonderful orange-red skin. The taste is very well balanced between sweetness and acidity, exactly how a delicious apple should taste.

Red Falstaff is a genetic deviation of Falstaff, which itself is a cross between James Grieve and also Golden Delicious.

Red Falstaff has a pleasing sharp taste if you eat it straight from the tree. The parentage of Golden Delicious gives Red Falstaff is very heavy cropping qualities, also it an appealing crunchiness.

Red Falstaff keeps extremely well, when chilled it will retain its flavour and crispness for several months.

Your tree is delivered as a potted specimen with approximate height of: 3.5ft - 5ft / 105cm - 140cm depending on the variety.

Our 9 litres trees are grown, protected and delivered in 'floppy pots' & polybags. The 'floppy pot' can easily be cut down the side with the tree then sliding out neatly into the prepared planting hole. The 'floppy pots' are also recyclable so you can help the environment once the tree has been planted.

In order to ensure a good pollination pick fruit trees from within the same or from adjacent flowering groups.

The vast majority of the trees we ship have been pruned and will appear trimmed.

Our products are all grown with the utmost care and to high standards of quality. We regularly check our nursery stock to determine exactly when they will be at the optimum time for despatch.

 

We despatch our fresh, nursery-grown live plants (including vegetables, trees and flowers) when they are at a stage of growth ready for you, the customer, to plant on at home.

 

The delivery period shown on your order confirmation indicates when you can expect to receive your order and we will endeavour to despatch your plants in this period within 7-14 days.

 

Please note – due to increased courier costs beyond our control, delivery charges to all non-UK Mainland addresses including Scottish Highlands & Islands may be subject to a postage surcharge.
