Description
- Wow - the white blackberry, brand new to Marshalls
- Hardy in the UK
- Productive for up to 8 years
- 1 plant produces over 20 punnets in its lifetime
- Pay less than 50p per punnet of fruit
Grow this fruit-laden fruit bush in rich soil (add some manure into your soil if it's hard and stony) to give you delicious white fruit for up to 8 to 10 years.
1 plant gives you enough fruit for around 3 punnets every year from the first July so your polarberry plants soon pay for themselves.
The upright growth habit of NEW polarberry means they grow well in containers – we recommend you grow one polarberry plant in a 12in (30cm) diameter container or one plant per square yard (square metre) in your border.
Available in 9cm pots, your plants are young and vigorous, naturally ready to produce lots of fruiting stems once you plant them up in autumn.
You may be fortunate to have some fruit on plants on arrival but your polarberry plant will fruit in earnest after it has settled in its new home and has experienced a winter.
Cut back fruited stems to the ground in the second and subsequent autumns and tie in the new leafy stems to supports- these leafy stems produce the delicious polarberry fruit for the following year.
