Key Features

  • Disease resistant
  • Prefers full sun

Pack Contents: 45x Broad Bean Seeds

Description

  • Recommended by the Royal Horticultural Society
  • Quick to mature
  • Great for adding nitrogen to the soil

De Monica is a dual-sow, disease-resistant Broad Bean variety which can be sown to overwinter for your earliest spring crops or left until spring if that suits your growing plan.

From a spring sowing 'De Monica' is so fast growing and quick to mature' it will be among your earliest cropping broad beans too.

Producing plants that grow to a height of 1m (3 1/2 ft) De Monica also provides natural wind protection for nearby tender crops.

We recommend that you grow cabbages and leafy vegetables next year in the same part of the plot as you grow broad bean De Monica this year - that's because De Monica encourages leaf-friendly nitrogen into the soil while it's producing lots of the delicious pods.
