Cabbage 'Kalibos' Originates from Eastern Europe. It is a delicious red cabbage that has a high sugar content, making it the perfect variety for shredding raw into salads for superb sweetness, crunch and colour.
It has a firm, solid heart and few wasted outer leaves. Colour fades when cooked. For late summer and autumn cutting.
Red cabbage is the traditional cabbage for pickling, but is perfect as a colourful and flavoursome winter vegetable or shredded finely and added to salads. They have good holding ability or can be stored for a few months.
