Clematis ‘Bees’ Jubilee’ is a much-loved early-flowering variety producing large deep pink flowers with a dark pink stripe down each petal. It flowers in early summer and often again in early autumn, and grows well in sun or light shade. This relatively compact variety can also be grown in a large container.
Clematis ‘Bees’ Jubilee’ is in Group 2 so should be pruned in late winter or early spring, and again immediately after flowering.
How you will receive your plants:
Selected by our team of experts and sent from our nursery, you will receive your plant in a pot, ready to plant out.
Can’t plant straight away?
Place the pot in a sheltered spot outdoors and water regularly to keep the soil moist.
Planting tips and hints:
Planting in the ground:
Dig a hole slightly wider than the rootball of the plant. Clematis should be planted deep, so that the top of the rootball is at least 7cm (3in) below the soil. When backfilling, mix in a soil improver such as well-rotted farmyard manure. Firm the soil around the plant and water well.
Planting in containers:
Choose a pot at least 40cm in diameter and 45cm deep, with good drainage holes. Place stones or crocks (bits of broken pottery) at the bottom of the pot to stop the drainage holes clogging up. Use a good quality compost. Feed and water container-grown plants regularly.
