Grow crunchy and satisfying cos lettuce Rosedale in your own garden in containers, raised beds or in a bed in your greenhouse as they are quick-growing. It has a unique colour, perfect for brightening up your vegetable patch and then brightening up a Caesar Salad once you get them in the kitchen.

Rosedale was voted ‘Recommended variety’ in Which? magazine as part of the new veg seeds in 2015 on account of Rosedale’s great flavour. It also boasts the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit for its good growing abilities.

This sweet and crunchy Cos lettuce has dark red outer leaves. The attractive colour carries down to the base of the leaf, which is a teardrop shape and with wavy margins. Colour is paler towards the centre of the plant, changing to a light green in the middle.

We recommend you space individual lettuces 20 to 30cm (10-12in) apart when it comes to planting them in their final position. This gives them space to develop well and gives you well-developed and tasty leaves.
