Add exotic looking plants to your garden pond like this small-flowered water lily. Nymphaea rubra stays compact and easy to manage so it is also superb for a tub or barrel pond.
Pot up and grow on before planting into your pond at the right depth.
Plant deeply submerged plants such as water lilies into aquatic compost in mesh-sided Aquatic Baskets. Weight the baskets with stones to prevent them floating to the surface and once planted cover the surface with grit or aquatic pebbles to help retain the compost in the basket.
Keep away from fountains and moving water as this variety favours still water. Remove dead leaves and withered flowers throughout the season.
Planting Depth 15-40cm
