Eryngium giganteum ‘Miss Willmott's Ghost’ is a really special plant. Although the bud is green, the whole plant eventually turns a ghostly silver. The ruff around the elongated cone, which is common to all Eryngium, is very dramatic and it gets better with age as it dries. This is a great plant to choose for a wildlife garden as the flowers attractive to insects. Although at it’s peak from July to September it has beautiful winter structure, which is made more lovely by frost. Perfect for planting in herbaceous border where they will complement daylilies and grasses. Eryngium ‘Miss Willmott's Ghost’ has the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
