Do you want blue hydrangeas? Hydrangeas are lovely in UK gardens through the summer months. Whether it’s a hot and dry summer or a warm yet overcast one hydrangeas always step up to the mark and now here’s your chance to change the colours of them to your suiting.
With big blue flower heads they are great in your garden to the eye and they are tactile too. They ‘ll bring in beneficial insects too, good news if you are growing nearby fruiting crops like peas.
Hydrangea Colourant is a specially-formulated salt which changes the colour of pale pink hydrangea varieties to blue and darker pink varieties to blue/purple. Salts, which are a combination of iron and aluminium, acidify the soil around the hydrangea roots, to produce big, blue flowers.
We recommend you store Hydrangea Colourant in a cool, dry place so that it keeps well and you can rely on it now and in the future.
