Perfectly formed soft pink blooms with a beautiful fragrance that flower for an extended period of up to 5-6 weeks. We have sourced the highest grade and largest bulbs of the crop at 18/+, so you will achieve the highly unusual 8 flower stems per bulb.
As these beautiful flowers appear, they will be well supported throughout the summer as they swell and expand by super-strength stems making this variety a wonderful garden showstopper. At a minimum of 8+ flowers per stem this high flower count variety will fill planters and borders with floral glamour.
Ideal for borders and containers, they are also a very popular cut flower. Lilies enjoy basking in full sun and must only be watered if the soil begins to dry out, as rainfall is usually enough.
How you will receive your bulbs:
Selected by our team of experts and sent from our nursery, you will receive your bulbs in a breathable mesh bag. This is to keep the bulbs together in a pack that is nice and airy – perfect to keep the bulbs healthy while in transit.
Can’t plant straight away?
Keep your bulbs in a cool, light, and dry place and preferably hanging on a hook so that air can get to the bulbs at all angles. Ideally, you should aim to plant your bulbs within a week of receiving them, but if this is not possible, store them in a cool, dark place until you are ready to plant them.
Planting tips and hints:
Planting in the ground: Plant outdoors from autumn to early spring in a fertile, well drained slightly acidic soil, in a sheltered spot in sun or light shade. Use a trowel or bulb planter to dig a hole around 20cm deep and place the bulb with the pointed end upward. On heavy soils, place a handful of grit in the hole before planting the bulb. Space bulbs around 30cm apart. Put in stakes for tall lilies, taking care not to damage the bulbs. For the best effect, plant in groups of 3 or 5.
Planting in containers:
Plant oriental lilies in pots filled with ericaceous compost mixed with grit. Plant the bulbs 15-20cm deep, spaced 15cm apart. Place the pots in a sheltered spot outdoors over winter.
Feeding and aftercare:.
Water regularly during the growing season and feed fortnightly with a high potash fertiliser like liquid tomato feed. Deadhead faded flowers. Cut back flowerstems to ground level in autumn.
