Description

The nematodes (Heterorhabditis bacteriophora) seek out the chafer grubs and attack the pest by entering natural body openings.

Once inside, they release bacteria that stops the pest from feeding, quickly killing the pest. They do not stop there. The nematodes reproduce inside the dead pest and release a new generation of hungry infective nematodes, which disperse and search for further prey.

Chafer grubs, one of the top ten garden pests according to the RHS, had caused problems for years by eating the grass roots.

Nemasys Chafer Grub Killer (Autumn) is needed as during the colder months the young grub larvae are active and most susceptible to the nematodes, if you treat in April/May you should treat in September as well.

Please note that the soil temperature should be 5ºC (40ºF) or over, however, Nematodes are capable of surviving the odd frost. To ensure proper storage please keep refrigerated upon delivery and use by the use by date (which can be up to four weeks).
