All of these individual varieties are our heat treated onions, specially engineered to minimise bolting, essentially enhancing your chances of stronger healthier harvests.

Marshalls Red Fen Early also known as the spitfire Onion will be one of your earliest croppers, but has the benefit of storing so well, that your spring harvests will hold until winter. Unavailable to buy in supermarkets or anywhere else, this onion can only be purchased at Marshalls not only that consider the huge cost savings of growing your own!

Marshalls Red Fen also known as the Garnet Onion is one of our team’s favourite onions. Why? Because it produces a vibrant red colour and is crammed full of flavour, to add wonderful colour and taste to dishes.

Onion Rumba is the final addition to our collection. One of our top performers as rated by our customers. It is a high producing large onion consistent in growth and perfect for eating raw and throwing straight onto your salads.

To give your crops the best possible results, our collection includes our specially developed fertiliser. Specifically created to enhance growth, development and maturity as well as a wealth of other benefits. A favourite amongst our customers who know how beneficial this feed is to their crops.

The beauty of growing onions is that they are not a particular high maintenance plant, and If you have grown them before then you know the rewarding benefits of lifting your crops year on year.

Even being a low maintenance product they will benefit from a specific area of your garden or allotment that sees a lot of sun and well-drained soil

Plant from early March to late April and enjoy the results from Early August through to late September.

When the exciting time comes for harvesting your onions begin to loosen them from the ground, and when they are free from the ground allow a day or two to allow the settle. You can then store in a cool dry place.
