Watch the glossy large leaves of Philodendron ‘Imperial Red’ change from dark red to rich burgundy and then deep green. This robust new hybrid is just the thing to bring a bit of drama to a room.

Grow in a light or partially shady room but avoid direct sunlight. Keep out of draughts and away from radiators. Make sure the temperature does not fall below 13C. Philodendron leaves are toxic to pets.

Keep the compost moist over the summer and just moist the rest of the year, and don't allow philodendron to sit in water. Feed once a month in spring and summer and mist leaves over the summer, and during the winter months if kept in a heated room.

Leggy growth and small pale leaves are possibly caused by too little light. Brown and papery edges to leaves can be caused by dry air, something that can be relieved with misting.

You will also receive an easy to use 30ml houseplant droplet feeder specially formulated to keep them happy and healthy looking for much longer. Simply snap off the tip and stick it into your plant pot to feed your plant for up to one month.
