Introduce Pieris Passion to give your garden structure, leaf coverage and pretty flowers all from this one fantastic plant. Happy grown in a container or in a flower bed this shrub gives your garden an injection of colour every day of the year.
Pieris Passion is a well-performing evergreen shrub that reveals young evergreen red leaves, turning to a glossy deep green as time goes on. Planted in all sites, full sun or full shade, Pieris Passion shows off three big colours; the green of glossy leaves, the red of young leaves and the pink of pretty bell flowers.
The flowers come out every spring so Pieris Passion partners well with spring-flowering bulbs particularly snowdrops, crocuses and white daffodils.
Pieris Passion grows particularly well in acidic (ericaceous) compost and in gardens that receive lots of rain- so very happy in the west of the UK. Though happy in sun or shade the soil should be rich and moist. Be sure to keep the soil moist at all times and incorporate ericaceous compost into beds if not growing in containers.
