- Ideal variety for growing in Gro-Sacks
- Versatile potato: harvest early for salad potatoes or later for jacket potatoes
- Tolerant of blight disease
- 1kg bag, sent to your door for no fuss
Red-skinned variety, ideal for home-growing, with good, waxy flesh and delicate flavour. A new variety to our Sarpo range, known for big harvests and good disease resistance.
Grow potato Sarpo Una in your plot or in patio Gro-Sacks if you don’t have allotment beds. Plant in March and look forward to big harvests of salad potatoes in just three months. This variety continues to grow in the ground happily if you prefer jacket potatoes in late summer and into autumn.
If you harvest them as salad potatoes in June they are likely to be out of the ground before the most common of soil diseases are at large. Sarpo Una is particularly resistant to soil diseases so are fine in the soil if you choose to harvest them later in the year for jacket potatoes.
We recommend that you plant five potatoes in one Gro-Sack for patio-growing. Whether in the ground or in Gro-Sacks, mound the soil halfway up the stems every time your plants grow an extra 5-10cm. This keep the potatoes under the soil well-formed and free of greening-up.
