Pulmonaria ‘Shrimps on the Barbie’ is a very showy new variety with stunning coral pink flowers above clumps of white spotted green leaves in spring. It forms a large clump up to 60cm across, and makes an ideal groundcover plant for shady gardens, with excellent mildew resistance.
The colourful flowers are a welcome early nectar source for bees and other pollinators, and look super planted together with spring bulbs. The attractive variegated leaves are evergreen in mild areas.
Trevi Fountain
- Forms clumps of silver spotted green leaves
- Clusters of bright blue flowers for several weeks in spring
- Good for shady spots
- Early nectar source for pollinators
Pulmonaria ‘Trevi Fountain’ is one of the best blue flowered pulmonarias available, with clusters of striking bright blue flowers for a long period in spring above clumps of silver spotted green leaves. It makes an ideal groundcover plant for shady gardens, and the flowers are a good source of nectar for early foraging bees and other pollinators.
Silver Bouquet
- Pointed green leaves heavily splashed with silver
- Clusters of pink and blue flowers in spring
- Good for shady spots
- Early nectar source for pollinators
Pulmonaria ‘Silver Bouquet’ is a particularly elegant variety, forming a low clump of long pointed green leaves liberally splashed with silver. Short, upright stems bear clusters of pink flowers in spring that turn blue as they mature.
Like all pulmonarias, ‘Silver Bouquet’ is ideal for shady spots and wildlife friendly gardens, with the flowers providing a welcome food source for pollinators early in the year. The silvery leaves are evergreen in mild areas.
How you will receive your plants:
Selected by our team of experts and sent from our nursery, you will receive your plant in a pot, ready to plant out.
Can’t plant straight away?
Place the pot in a sheltered spot outdoors and water regularly to keep the soil moist.
Planting tips and hints:
Planting in the ground:
Plant in moist but well drained soil in partial shade. Using a trowel, dig a hole the same size as the pot your plant comes in and place the plant in the hole with the top of its compost level with the surface of the soil. Water well.
Aftercare:
Water regularly in the first year after planting.
Lift and divide large clumps every 3 5 years in autumn or after flowering in spring. Remove old leaves after flowering.
