Pretty Sedum ‘Sunsparkler Blue Elf’, also known as Hylotelephium ‘Blue Elf’ PBR (Sunsparkler Series), is a lovely addition to a border or rock garden, with its mounds or mats of dark blue-grey succulent leaves, which are often flushed with purple, and fragrant dark pink flowers that are great for bees. It loves full sun and is drought-tolerant once established. This plant does well in shallow stony soil and tolerates free-draining moist soil. Its flower heads can be left for winter interest. .

How you will receive your sedums:

Selected by our team of experts and sent from our nursery, you will receive your sedum in a pot, ready to plant out.

Can’t plant straight away?

Keep the soil moist.

Planting tips and hints:

Planting in the ground: Best planted in autumn or spring while the ground is more moist. Dig a hole the same size as the pot your sedum comes in and place the sedum in the hole with the top of its compost level with the surface of the soil. Allow 0.5 metres between this plant and others as it will cover more ground as it grows. Water well.

Aftercare: Cut back spent stems after flowering to promote a good shape or leave flower heads in place for winter interest. Consider cutting back every third stem in late May to prevent the possibility of flopping, especially in fertile soils. Split plants every three or four years in spring so that they remain vigorous.
