Description
- Beautiful flowers through summer
- Hand selected by our nursery team
- Trained as a standard with clear stem of 50cm
- Underplant for a sensational summer display
Our nursery experts will pick the best looking plant at the time of purchase from a range of colours, your rose will have a clear stem of 50cm, ideal for a sunny border or container, producing a profusion of beautiful flowers all summer long. Underplant it with bedding or perennials for a sensational summer display.
Feed border-grown roses with a rose feed in early summer. Feed container-grown roses fortnightly during the growing period with a high-potash liquid fertiliser such as tomato feed, and water regularly. Deadhead faded flowers. Prune in early spring, cutting back stems by around one-third and aiming to maintain the rounded shape of the head. Cut above an outward-facing bud. Remove any shoots from the clear stem of the standard.
How you will receive your plants:
Selected by our team of experts and sent from our nursery, you will receive your plant in a pot, ready to plant out.
Can’t plant straight away?
Place the pot in a sheltered spot outdoors and water regularly to keep the soil moist.
Planting in the ground:
Dig a hole slightly wider than the rootball of the plant. Place the plant in the hole so that it sits at the same level in the ground as it did in the pot. When backfilling, mix in a soil improver such as well-rotted farmyard manure. Firm the soil around the plant and water well.
Planting in containers:
Choose a pot with good drainage holes. Place stones or crocks (bits of broken pottery) at the bottom of the pot to stop the drainage holes clogging up. Use a good quality compost. Feed and water container-grown plants regularly.
