The delightful, rose-pink flowers of Syringa microphylla ‘Superba’ lend their fragrance to the garden at intervals over many months from late spring until early autumn. Manageable in size- it grows to a height and spread of up to 2.5m- it is ideal planted singly in a sunny border, but this RHS AGM award-winning shrub can also be planted as an informal hedge.

Planting tips and hints:

Dig a hole approximately twice as deep and 3 times as wide as the plant’s rootball. If your soil is heavy mix in a soil improver before backfilling. Firm the soil around the plant and water thoroughly.

Water shrubs regularly in the first year after planting and in dry periods
