Trillium cuneatum bulbs, which are also known as (Little) sweet Betsy, produce a flowering perennial which springs to life in early March to mid April. This wildflower has dramatic mottled foliage topped in spring with deep maroon flowers and prefers to grow in rich soils, in particular limestone.
Commonly known as Toad lily or Wake robin, Trilliums are iconic woodland bulbs. Trilliums combine beautifully with pale starry anemones and erythronium. Once established trilliums will spread and naturalise, studding the ground under trees and shrubs and in woodland.
