- Attracts beneficial bees
- Great for cut flowers
- Easy to plant in autumn
Use tulip Ballade on the allotment or in your garden to up the flower colour and add impact to your planting scheme. Tulip Ballade packs a punch growing in a container in your garden, in a wall-side border or even on the allotment to add spring colour and draw in pollinating bees.
The flowers make their appearance on tall stems in May, the perfect time for accompanying crown imperials and accentuating nearby tree blossom. These eye-catching late spring bulbs cut easily at the stem-base so you can give cut flowers away down at the plot.
If growing in containers we recommend you plant 12 bulbs for every 30cm (12in) pot and plant in a free-draining Bulb Compost where the bulbs overwinter happily before erupting into leaf then flower in spring.
