- Rare and attractive hoar-frosted edges
- Moody and stylish
- Great for cut flowers
Get hold of tulip Labrador for filling an allotment border or containers in your garden. The impactful and uniquely-textured rare near-black flowers open up for claret-red petals attractive to pollinating bees and hoverflies which pollinate tomato and strawberry flowers.
Tulip Labrador is luxurious, large and bold with its confident height of 50cm (20in). It’s a variety sure to make an impact in April and May. Planted with contrasting yellow and orange bulbs like tulips and daffodils it doesn’t take many of these flowers to really add impact to your garden or outdoor plot.
If growing in containers we recommend you plant 12 bulbs for every 30cm (12in) pot and plant in a free-draining Bulb Compost where the bulbs overwinter happily before erupting into leaf then flower in spring.
