Slim and upright, plant lots of Marilyn, a firework-like white tulip with rich red streaks, in a small space for impact without overcrowding. Lily-flowered
Marilyn is the variety for you when you want impact and drama in your garden. Like an exploding firework or doves flying out of a box, the flowers are fantastic.
Marilyn is tall as well as exciting so a fantastic tulip to grow with other tall flowers like foxgloves and alliums.
Plant 12 bulbs in a 30cm (12in) container or around every square foot (30cm²) area of soil in a sunny bed, towards the back of the bed.
How you receive your bulbs
You receive our spring-flowering bulbs in autumn in a plastic mesh. This is to keep the bulbs together in a pack which is nice and airy – perfect to keep the bulbs healthy while in transit.
Can’t plant straight away?
Keep your bulbs in a cool, light and dry place and preferably hanging on a hook so that air can get to the bulbs at all angles. Look to planting your bulbs within a week of receiving them.
