Weather-resistant orange tulip variety that looks great in borders and containers alike. Enjoy this Darwin type tulip grown in a sunny spot in a sheltered or expose site.
Partner up with orange-flowered crown imperial fritillaries, equally tall and majestic-looking. Traditionally cup-shaped Orange Balloon is a comforting variety especially suited for cottage garden styles.
Plant 12 bulbs in a 30cm (12in) diameter container if growing on the patio or spread evenly in a square foot (30cm²) area of soil in the centre of your flowerbed behind yellow primroses and cowslips.
How you receive your bulbs
You receive our spring-flowering bulbs in autumn in a plastic mesh. This is to keep the bulbs together in a pack which is nice and airy – perfect to keep the bulbs healthy while in transit.
Can’t plant straight away?
Keep your bulbs in a cool, light and dry place and preferably hanging on a hook so that air can get to the bulbs at all angles. Look to planting your bulbs within a week of receiving them.
