Cosmos Cosmonaut - Sow from February - May. Sow Cosmos indoors in warmth 15-20C(60-70F)into good quality compost and keep moist. Shade the seedlings from strong sun. When they are large enough to handle transplant into trays of compost or individual pots. Harden them off and plant out after all risk of frost has passed. Space 45cm (18in) apart.

Eryngium alpinum- Sea Holly - Sow eryngium outside from September-November into a pot of good quality compost and keep moist. Eryngium need a period of cold to germinate (Stratification) ;the seeds will germinate the following spring. If sowing eryngium seed indoors; sow from February-July but place the pot in a refrigerator to encourage germination which can take between 3-5 months. Harden off and plant out when established. Space 30cm (12in) apart.
