When all is dormant in your pond at winter Veronica beccabunga provides life and keeps the torch burning over the colder months.
A frost-hardy pond plant which adds winter interest to the pond, this fast-growing evergreen makes a useful edging plant producing small blue flowers with a white centre. Every flower is great for bees and other pollinating insects, attracting the wildlife that sticks around to fertilise strawberry and tomato flowers.
Fondly known as Brooklime or European speedwell we recommend that you plant at a depth of up to 10cm (4in) (Zone 1 or 2- see planting diagram).
