For handsome looks wrapped up in a virtually indestructible plant, Zamioculcas is hard to beat.

Commonly known as the ZZ plant, or Zanzibar gem, it stands out from the crowd with its glossy foliage and is tolerant of neglect. This is a great choice for an eye-catching focal point.

Zamioculcas performs well in warm rooms that are well lit or those with low levels of light, but keep away from strong sunlight and make sure the temperature does not fall below 8C.

Water with care, allowing compost to dry a little between watering. Feed with a weak solution of general purpose fertiliser in spring and summer. Wipe leaves to remove dust and mist occasionally if a room is on the dry side. Repot in spring.

Zamioculcas are toxic to pets. Leaf drop and rotting rhizomes are a sign of overwatering.

You will also receive an easy to use 30ml houseplant droplet feeder specially formulated to keep them happy and healthy looking for much longer. Simply snap off the tip and stick it into your plant pot to feed your plant for up to one month.
