Key Features

  • Perfect for pots and containers
  • Loved by pollinators
  • Hardy perennial
  • Prefers full sun
  • Prefers part shade

Pack Contents: 1x Bare Root Plant

Height: Up To: 2m / 6.5ft

Description

  • A rare variety giving intense pink berries
  • More and more fruit each year
  • Delivered to you as garden-ready bare-root specimen

Enjoy the numerous pinkcurrants that appear in clusters on well-furnished bushes from June. Enough sun-ripe berries every year to pluck straight from the bush and pop into your mouth as well as to collect for indoors where they make great dessert garnishes and cocktail decorations.

Rossalin is a great variety for growing in wet conditions and thrives even in hilly areas, through it grows equally well in low counties such as those in East Anglia.

Growing suggestions

We recommend that you plant multiple pinkcurrant bushes together. Space bare-root plants 2m (6 ½ ft) apart in a row if growing as a hedge or one plant for a 46cm container filled with rich compost like John Innes No3.

How your plants arrive:

Your pinkcurrant plant is sent to you as a bare-root specimen with a set of dormant stems but more importantly a healthy set of roots which are keen to get into the ground and develop over the cold months to support strong stems from the following spring. We recommend that you position your plant in a cool, and light position (but away from direct sun) and keep the soil well-watered but not waterlogged. Aim to plant within 10 days from delivery.
