Lupins are a cottage garden favourite and add spires of colour amongst your herbaceous border during May & June. They're easy to grow in full sun or part shade and well draining soil. Cut flower heads back after flowering to encourage a second flush of flowers. Beware slugs & snails as these can be a problem - apply nematodes or an organic barrier. Aphids can also be an issue - try Growing Success Bug Stop to keep them at bay.
