Oregano: The Sun-Loving Mediterranean Herb

Grow your own oregano and add some zest to your dishes! This compact herb is easy to grow and drought tolerant, perfect for growing in pots or ground. Its fragrant leaves are often used in Italian and Greek cuisine, especially when dried. In the summer, oregano blooms into attractive pink or white flowerheads, standing about 30cm (1ft) tall. It's a perennial plant, living for many years, and can survive the British winter if grown in a warm, sunny spot or in well-draining soil.
