Chard Seeds

Swiss Chard is one of the easiest vegetables to grow from seed. It needs plenty of open sun shine and rich moisture retentive soil that’s free draining. It should be sown thinly from March to July 2.5cm deep, 10cm apart in rows which are 45cm apart.

Chard is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals. It is a green leafed vegetable that makes a good alternative to spinach and its colourful stems have a very striking value as an ornamental plant making it pretty enough for the flower borders too!
