Brussels Sprout Plants
The Brussels Sprouts are a mainstay of British cuisine but often have a bad reputation. This is such a shame because, when cooked right, have a unique and delicious flavour. Fried with bacon and walnuts makes for a hearty winter meal. Of course Christmas dinner just wouldn't be the same without the humble Brussels Sprout.
Brussels Sprouts can be planted out in May or June and harvested from September all the way through to February. If you want to get an early crop pick the first, small buds from the bottom of the plant first. For the sweetest crop wait until after the first frost before you harvest.
