Petunia 'Hybrida Grandiflora Success' is an exciting new development in petunia breeding, producing compact petunias smothered in masses of large flowers for months in summer. These colourful petunias are perfect for creating vibrant displays in patio pots or at the front of a border.
Sow indoors
February-April: Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface, but do not cover them with compost. Place in the warmth 18-25°C (65-75°F), and keep moist. Dry conditions will prevent the seeds germinating. Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant individually into 8cm (3in) pots of potting compost.
Plant out
May-June: Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out when danger of frost has passed. Allow 30cm (12in) between plants if planting into the garden. Container plantings can be much closer together. Water well in dry weather and feed plants regularly with a liquid fertiliser.
