About Shell on Earth
Shell On Earth, a charming family venture led by Jordan & Caryl Andrews, transforms crushed whelk shells from their family’s seafood processing factory into garden and landscaping solutions. Located in Frondolau quarry in New Quay, West Wales, with a history of 40 years, the factory has a rich heritage of seafood processing and community involvement. The journey started with Jordan's late grandfather who turned this site into a thriving seafood processing center for local fishermen and vivier lorries. With the help of Jordan's parents, the factory have broadened their scope to include the exceptional Welsh whelks, caught using traditional pots.Shell On Earth, launched in 2019, proudly presents their collection of recycled whelk shells for gardens across the UK. With an estimated 5,000 tonnes of shells wasted every year in the UK fishing industry, their mission is to reduce waste and promote a circular economy. Each repurposed shell brings us one step closer to a greener future.
