A breakthrough in cauliflowers, Clapton is the original commercially-available caulis with clubroot resistance. It boasts an erect habit, keeping the central curds clean and off the ground, and surrounding leaves that embrace the central curd for extra protection.

Much more mature than a plug plant, they are already well established and very well rooted. Ideal for growing just a small number of plants per variety.

Clapton is the variety for home-growers who suffer clubroot on their vegetable plot. Get peace of mind that you can grow cauliflowers successfully in the allotment even if clubroot is rife in your area. We recommend you keep the soil moist at all times to keep Clapton happy.

This versatile variety matures in autumn; when you grow cauliflowers yourself you’ll notice the sweet flavour from the curds that can be missing from shop-bought equivalents. With Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit, Clapton has raised the eyebrow of many a home-growing expert on account of its upright growth and protective leaves which keep the central curds naturally clean.
