Xanthos is an early-flowering dwarf variety of Cosmos great to grow in allotment situations or for adding to the front of your summer bedding schemes. Eye-catching, this Cosmos offers bold and handsome flowers through the summer.
Stunning in beds this Cosmos is a true eye-catcher that will bloom in big numbers throughout summer and into early autumn. Attracts insects that will hang around to pollinate surrounding crops like tomatoes and beans.
Want to bring these flowers indoors too? Great- they make great flowers for vases to add natural colour and light to your home.
We give you 24 plants which is more than enough to plant in the centre of eight to 10 pots surrounded by complementing bedding plants or at the front of flower beds up to around 16ft (5m) long.
Space on the allotment for flowers? Grow in a staggered double row of around 16ft (5m) by 1ft (30cm) spacing flowers 8-12in (20cm-30cm) apart.
Grow in pots with compost suitable for bedding to ensure the plants have the best soil to grow and thrive in. If you grow them in flower beds mix some compost in with the existing soil to give your flowers the best soil to grow in.
