Choose to keep this attractive plant contained in its 1 litre pot for shorter shoots reaching 30-50cm (12-20in), ideal for small ponds or re-pot into a 5 litre basket to see the shoots climb to 1m (3 ½ ft) in height. This is better for medium and large ponds.

We recommend that you keep Equisetum hyemale (rough horsetail) in a container so you can move the plant easily when carrying out routine pond care.
