A traditional favourite

Shropshire Plum Damson is the epitome of northern English damsons, with a particular rich flavour and so many uses in the kitchen, from stewing, reducing and even eating fresh.

Shropshire Prune thrives in damp climates – not typical of fruit trees generally - so this variety works well even if you live in damp areas of the UK.

Harvest Shropshire Prune in early autumn to make jams and stews to make satisfying puddings as the temperature drops.

The perfect pollinating partner

Oullins Golden Gage plum grows well in the cooler climates of Britain so makes a great partner to Shropshire Plum Damson.

Pick Oullins Golden Gage to eat fresh or prepare in the kitchen. Eaten fresh, the flesh is sweet and after ripening in the sun. For cooking and baking, we recommend you pick them when they have a bit of firmness.

The fruit is a large gage, actually more akin to a small plum. It possesses a particularly warm golden hue, with red blushes - attractive as well as tasty.

We may prune your tree before it arrives to your door. We do this to encourage your tree to branch freely which makes them better looking and more productive.

Our products are all grown with the utmost care and to high standards of quality. We regularly check our nursery stock to determine exactly when they will be at the optimum time for despatch.

We despatch our fresh, nursery-grown live plants (including vegetables, trees and flowers) when they are at a stage of growth ready for you, the customer, to plant on at home.

The delivery period shown on your order confirmation indicates when you can expect to receive your order and we will endeavour to despatch your plants in this period within 7-14 days.

Please note – due to increased courier costs beyond our control, delivery charges to all non-UK Mainland addresses including Scottish Highlands & Islands may be subject to a postage surcharge.
