'Home Guard' is a tasty variety of potato that was first introduced in 1942, rising in popularity during World War 2 because of its great success in producing consistently high yields. They are perfect for all manners of cooking, including boiling, mashing, steaming, baking, roasting, frying and sautéing.
This superior potato of excellent taste and texture produces short, oval tubers with shallow eyes. They also have great resistance to disease, in particular to all forms of scab and spraing.
