'Candy Little Ruby' is fully hardy and easy to grow, uniquely coloured and grows in a compact form making it ideal for all size gardens. We’ve chosen this Buddleja because it’s reliable, uniquely-coloured and a compact flower for displays in the garden or patio all summerlong. Developed to fill a gap in the Buddleia market, replacing the alternative ‘Royal Red’ which can be unreliable and unsuited to smaller gardens, this is fully hardy and already loved by the public, bees and butterflies.

How you will receive your plants:

Selected by our team of experts and sent from our nursery, you will receive your plant in a 3Ltr pot, ready to plant out.

Can’t plant straight away?

Place in a sheltered spot and water regularly to keep the compost moist

Planting tips and hints:

Dig a hole approximately twice as deep and 3 times as wide as the plant’s rootball. If your soil is heavy mix in a soil improver before backfilling. Firm the soil around the plant and water thoroughly.

When planting in a container, choose a container with good drainage holes and use a multi-purpose compost.

Feeding and aftercare:

Prune in early spring, cutting back last year’s growth to three or four buds from the base. Feed container-grown buddlejas annually after pruning with a liquid feed high in potash..
