Flowering
Nature's Haven Dwarf Dahlia Collarette Dandy Seeds produce an eye-catching mix of colours. These half hardy annual dahlias are ideal for containers due to their dwarf size.
These are brilliant as cut flowers indoors, as well as in borders or on a patio. An RHS Pollinator variety, these attract a variety of beneficial insects to your garden.
Sowing IndoorsAlmost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and lightly cover them with a little more compost. Place in the warmth, 15–20°C and keep moist.
Growing OnKeep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5cm apart into trays of potting compost.
Planting OutGradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out when risk of frost has passed. Allow 45cm between plants.
AftercareDahlias can be prone to botrytis on foliage so remove lower leaves regularly as required. Deadhead regularly to prolong blooming.
How to grow
Sow seeds on to the surface of pre-watered seed compost, but don't cover them. Keep warm, around 20°C and keep moist, but not wet. Allow 1-2 weeks for germination.
