When deciding which plants to add to your garden Geranium Scarlet should be near the top of the list. This stunning scarlet flower provides and abundance of blooms sat atop unusual and striking foliage. The red is set against leaves that are chocolate in the centre and green around the edges.
Very resistant to drought geranium Scarlet will flower well even if the soil is shallow and poor. Just be sure to give those plants full sun.
They are also great for patios in pots as a focal point or on terraces, as well as window boxes if you are short on space and even hanging baskets. It can be an evergreen perennial if you dig the plants up in October, pot them up and rest them under a roof over the winter. Re-plant them in the garden the following spring for an extra year of flowers.
When planting your Geranium Scarlet we recommend that you make sure they are in full sunshine. They will also need to have well-drained soil and can grow up to a height of 45cm (17in), providing you with masses of rich, red flowers. Intersperse them through your borders for bright splashes of colour.
