These Rose Cut and Hold Secateurs enable you to do precision cutting with their SK5 carbon steel blades. The sharp blades are ideal for cutting thorny rose stems and are uniquely designed to hold the stem once cut.
Ideal for cutting thorny stems and any plants that could cause skin irritation as well as pruning of roses, shrubs and brambles. Bypass secateurs are not ideal for dead wood as this will blunt the blades. The dual position catch allows you to adjust the span of the handles, making it comfortable in use for both smaller and larger hands
The sap groove directs sap away from the blades so they will not stick giving you a truly easy cutting experience.
All Kent & Stowe cutting tools come with a 5-year guarantee.
How To Care For Your Secateurs
Taking care of secateurs means they will continue to perform at their peak. We recommend that you don't leave your secateurs outside when not in use. Wipe them after use, and allow them to completely dry. Store them away in a dry environment, such as your greenhouse, shed or garage. Even in dry weather conditions your tools, if left outside, are exposed to moisture from wet grass and dew.
For all wood handled tools such as these secateurs you can even apply a light coating of boiled linseed oil to help prevent the wood from drying out and cracking. If the wooden handle is very dirty, remove as much of the soil as possible. If you need to use water, gently wet the handle with a damp cloth, making sure that you don’t soak the wood, as this may cause the grain to lift and the handle to swell.
