Complete The Job

Conference is the country's favourite pear, and small wonder as it is so versatile. Plant your trees in containers so you can place them where they truly suit you.

Our fruit trees are expertly trained so they have strong main branches, ready to fruit heavily once planted and well-established. Our varieties are specially grafted onto roots that keep trees smaller for easier harvests, while maintaining impressive yields.

This popular and tasty variety is self-fertile (SF) so it flowers and fruits independently. They produce fruit, even when planted in isolation.

During summer delivery, our plants may exhibit signs of nature's hustle and bustle on their leaves. Since we have a high concentration of plants on the nursery, a variety of insects are drawn to them as a source of food and nutrition. We feel that this is all part of gardening and have to strike a balance between keeping the plants healthy for our customers and not interfering too much with natural lifecycles.

We try to use as many natural methods of control as possible and only intervene as a last resort. So you may see some leaves that are discoloured or with small areas where the insects have been eating them. Any high levels of damage or attack will have been dealt with prior to delivery and plants graded out as best as possible when selected for packing. No plants will be delivered with damage that will affect the future growth or success of harvest.

Rootstock: Cydonia A

This 2 year old specimen is self-fertile and will provide fruit in the following year.

Can’t plant straight away?

If you can't plant up your fruit tree straight away that's fine so long as keep the roots covered in soil. You can even lay the tree horizontally on the soil so long as the roots are covered in moist soil.

Look to planting your fruit tree in its permanent position within 5-7 days. Potted fruit trees: If you can't plant up your fruit tree straight away keep your potted plant in a sunny position and keep the soil moist by watering each day. Look to planting into its permanent position within 5-7 days.
