Buying them as potted plants extends the time you can plant them and reduces the disturbance when planting, plants will be stronger and produce more harvest than bare root canes.

Raspberry 'Tulameen' is a popular choice for commercial and home fruit gardens due to its abundant yields of large, vibrant berries with a delicious flavour.

If you have always wanted to try growing raspberries but think they are a lot of work, then choose these 4L potted plants. Each pot has 2 plants in which will grow quickly through Spring and into summer. These shoots will branch freely and develop clusters of flowers, which in turn will develop into fruit in the late Summer and Autumn. We will train these shoots up a hooped cane which sits approx. 1.2m above ground. All you need to do is plant it, feed it and enjoy delicious raspberries fresh from your garden.

Floricane

Floricane (summer-fruiting) varieties bear fruit on canes from the year before. In autumn/winter, remove the old, fruited wood and secure the new growths to the support after fruiting.

These are mature, established plants that have been grown with special care. The canes have been tied onto a hooped cane to encourage growth and will produce fruit this summer on last season's wood. Any new growth can be trained for next year, and after fruiting, the canes should be cut back to the ground to restart the cycle.

Can’t plant straight away?

Place the pot in a sheltered spot outdoors and water regularly to keep the soil moist.
