Description
Grow these two fortifying spinaches on your own vegetable patch to give you a bed of succulent leaves full of healthy and immune-boosting nutrients. Full of texture and bite, these two spinach varieties give you leaves that make great alternatives to salad leaves.
Lauded in the health and fitness world spinach is a superfood so easy to grow yourself. They give you so much more than than buying environmentally-unfriendly plastic bags of spinach from the supermarket.
You receive one packet each of;
Amazon
Well adapted to the British climate Amazon has very good bolt resistance. It is a superb variety for baby leaves in spring and gives good resistance to downy mildew. Cover earliest sowings to increase cropping period.
Spinach Banjo
Known as a semi-savoy type spinach, Banjo has mid green crinkled leaves. The plants are full of vigour and highly resistant to mildew and they are very slow to bolt. The tender young leaves are soft and buttery when cooked.
Sowing outdoors from as early as march means you can enjoy adult leaves for the kitchen from as early as April. We recommend you sow little and often for a continual supply right through the spring and summer without you having to buy a bag of spinach from the shops again.
