Malling Centenary strawberry plants (Main)- A New introduction from East Malling to mark 100 years of unparalleled UK fruit breeding. Plants produce very attractive glossy fruit with a good shape and stunning flavour.

Misted Tip Strawberry plants have become very popular for late summer planting.

This innovative process in strawberry production is increasingly being used by commercial growers to give bigger and better first year yields.

Plants are produced by taking early, un-rooted runner tips from specially selected mother plants. These are rooted into individual modules in a mist propagation unit and when planted in late summer, (up until end of August) the plants establish quickly and form a strong root network underground over winter rather than in spring, ensuring plants are ready to put up lots of flowering stems for harvests earlier in the season.

Strawberry Malling Centenary is protected by Plant Variety Rights and cannot be propagated even for own use and resold without licence.
