A robust and resilient Triumph type tulip with white petals blushed with streaks of rich purple like blackberries stirred into fresh cream. Sword-like foliage complement the sophisticated flowers.
Flaming Flag holds wells even in a rainy and cold spring so is a great variety for exposed sites and parts of the country that experience lots of rain.
Equally effective in containers and in beds choose where you want to position Flaming Flag in the garden.
Plant 12 bulbs for every 30cm (12in) diameter container or evenly in a square foot (30cm²) area of soil. Plant up multiple containers dotted around the garden or balcony for welcome injections of colour all around.
How you receive your bulbs
You receive our spring-flowering bulbs in autumn in a plastic mesh. This is to keep the bulbs together in a pack which is nice and airy – perfect to keep the bulbs healthy while in transit.
Can’t plant straight away?
Keep your bulbs in a cool, light and dry place and preferably hanging on a hook so that air can get to the bulbs at all angles. Look to planting your bulbs within a week of receiving them.
